Edward J. Reid
Edward J. Reid (“Jamie”) joined West, Borges, Rosa & Douville in 2011. Born in Cambridge, MA, he grew up in Bedford, MA, a suburb of Boston, and graduated from Bedford High School in 1996. After high school, Mr. Reid earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Westfield State University in 2000, with a major in History. While there, Mr. Reid was a student editor of the Historical Journal of Massachusetts, Vice-President of the History Honor Society - Phi Alpha Theta and was a member of the varsity football team. He also spent a semester abroad in 1999 studying at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland.
Mr. Reid earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law in Orange, CA, in 2010, with a emphasis in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. During his time at Chapman, Mr. Reid was Editor in Chief of the Chapman Journal of Criminal Justice, Treasurer of the Mock Trial Board and earned top grades in legal writing, trial practice and deposition law. After passing the Bar in 2011, and a brief stint as a volunteer Deputy Prosecutor for the City of Long Beach, Mr. Reid became an associate here at Brobeck, West, Borges, Rosa & Douville where he practices medical malpractice defense, administrative law, appellate law, general liability defense and real property law.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Reid was a territory manager and consultant for a world renowned orthopaedic device manufacturer in Boston, MA. There he spent countless hours in the operating rooms of the Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital and New England Baptist Hospital and worked closely with the Harvard Orthopaedics Combined Residency Program. He is licensed to practice before all of the courts in the State of California and the United States District Court, both Southern and Central Districts.
Outside of the office, Mr. Reid enjoys golf, cooking, cheering for the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots, as well as spending time with family and friends.
